Dave the Funky Monkey or Dave the Cheeky Monkey? That is the question….!
We have received several recent queries as to the name of our robot monkey friend who, incidentally is yet to be set loose on an unsuspecting public. The date for launch is getting ever-closer but expect to see stores with stock around the last week in July or first week in August 2010.
As for his name, we are reliably informed that he will be called Dave the Funky Monkey in the UK – despite the fact that this box image is labelled Dave the Cheeky Monkey.
Interest is growing in this new interactive cheeky monkey toy. We predicted that Dave the Cheeky Monkey would become one of the hottest toys this year, and is sure to feature in the Top Toys for Christmas 2010 line up later in the year. Today, Dave the Funky Monkey has featured in the Top 50 Christmas toys prediction list published by renowned toy retailer Hamleys. Dave has also had a mention in an article on these featured toys in the Mail Online.
